Who we are

Angkor Kids Center (AKC) is a remote community, non-profit, non-political, non-religious educational center for development focusing on helping to educate children and improving the living of the community in Somrong Village, Lieng Dai Commune, Angkor Thom District, Siem Rep Province, Cambodia. The center located 27 kilo meters away from Siem Reap provincial center and 20 kilometers from Angkor Wat temple with a population of approximately 2,500 people and its surrounding villages.

Our mission is to aid rural communities in improving their standards of living, with a focus on increasing access to qualified education. Our informal education takes initiatives; AKC is supporting education for over 550 families in one village, primarily. We believe that education is the key to sustainable change, and committed to a holistic developmental approach which empowers children, parents, teachers, and communities to make the positive changes they want to see in their lives. Furthermore, English language is a potential key to suit the modern national educational system, which mean each students should be well trained.
